There are some excellent Benefits to my store and our associates that come from employing military family members.
- Best Buy offers military leave for enlistees, inductees, or reservists to meet their military responsibilities.
- Best Buy offers flexible schedules that work with their personal schedule. This benefit is a favorite among associates in my store. They like having multiple schedule options allowing them flexibility to still meet their military commitments.
- Best Buy has a nationwide Job Opening System that allows associates to search and apply for positions in other Best Buy stores when their Spouse or family is transferred. Allowing our associates to continue their career without changing companies. This is a win for our stores and for associates.
One of my goals is to instill a sense of teamwork and family in my store. The values that military family members bring coincide directly with my goals. In general, they bring a sense of family to the store. They are some of the hardest working and team oriented people that I employ. They are an integral part in making Best Buy a fun place to work.
